Veterans and Mass Transit Meeting - October 28

The Future of Regional Transit in Southeast Michigan: a Community Forum

Community members met Michael Ford, CEO, Regional Transit Authority, at an open community forum held at Temple Israel on October 18, 2015.

Attendees learned about the RTA Master Plan for the Southeast Michigan region and interacted with transit planners, policy makers, and leaders who are making regional transit a reality.

The event was sponsored and promoted by the Jewish Community Relations Council, Temple Israel, the Regional Transit Authority of Southeast Michigan, the Harriet Tubman Center, and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.

Tell the Regional Transit Authority where you need and want to go, every day, on public transit, from where and how often!

Michael Ford, CEO, and the RTA team were on hand to listen and discuss how a good regional transit system can best serve residents and businesses in Southeast Michigan. The Harriet Tubman Center made sure YOUR VOICE WAS HEARD as the RTA planned a regional transit system to connect Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, Washtenaw Counties and the City of Detroit.

Join us in partnership with transit advocates, stakeholders and the
Regional Transit Authority (RTA) to ensure that we plan a transit system that creates economic opportunity and gets people where they need to go.
